You could try going to the Registry Editor, Start > Run, type regedit, click OK, and navigate using the little + signs, to:


and deleting the numbered entries in that "Search" folder.

Remember to backup your registry before editing it, else you could cause problems.

... is to open up your PC case, remove the hard drive,, split it open and use "Scotchbright" on the HDD surfaces.

That way no one will ever find out from your HDD what you've been downloading illegally.

Mind you, there'll be enough traces left at KaZaA and the contentious tracking software that the RIAA are using.

Hiding the evidence on your PC won't be enough when the heavies come calling.
