How do I attach whole folders to an email

When I try to do this, I'm only allowed to attached one file at a time. Email is the only way I can transfer data from a very old Windows 98 machine to a newer XP model and at this rate, XP will be redundant before I've moved all the data!

Add them to a zip folder first - select them all, right click on one of them and choose 'send to' and compressed folder. This creates a zipped folder alongside the original files and you can attach this to your e-mail.
You need XP or zip program (eg winzip) for this to work and the recipient needs similar

Upload to the Net and then Download to the new PC.

Zipped files better 'cos Upload speeds can be slow but should be quicker than e-mail
