how do I allocate more disk space in xp

I have a 20 gig hard drive, but when I installed xp only 2 gigs have been allocated to c: with 16.4 gigs not allocated. how do I allocate the unallocated space to c:

Have you installed much other than xp?

I think the easiest way is to reinstall xp, and during the setup procedure delete your C: partion and create one new large partition.

The other way is to create a new partition in unallocated space, and then use something like Partition Magic to merge the two together.

If you realy don't want to avoid re-install you could try Partition Magic as I assume the un-allocated space is in a differant partition.
