Hi, I am desperatly need an e-mail that I have deleted. I am using XP home and there is a facility within xp which backs up all my e-mails from time to time. Is there a way that I can find the e-mail I want in this back-up facility. Val

If you have deleted the email from your deleted folder then it will be gone - unless you have special software to retain copies of emails. There is no built in facility under Windows XP to do this.

If you have made back-up copies of your data that you could get your missing email from here. If so post back with details of your back-up system.

If you have deleted it fom your deleted folder it will be gone but you maybe? have archived it in which case you can reopen the archive file (assuming you are using Outlook.) It will usually be called Outlook.pst

Recovering deleted emails is possible with Opera click here One can also read them on line in your ISP mailbox if they were sent to you.

If you use Opera please post again for details.
