How do auto-level audio tracks ripped to MP3

I know that Windows media player v10 allows you to autolevel ripped MP3 tracks when writing a CD, but, how do I do this so that the levels on an MP3 player are equalised?

This can be done using Exact Audio Copy (EAC). It's free, it needs a bit of care setting up and it rips, well, an exact audio copy!
