When viewed in windows explorer/My computer many Cd's have a company or product related icon showing against them. How do you setup a CD to do this?
I remember an article in Pc Advisor a while ago running through this but cannot find it now.

Hi, not sure if this is what you mean, but, when you create a CD it is normal to give it a Title - this is what will show up in My Computer/Explorer.

Cheers.

open NotePad and type in:

[autorun]

open=myfile.exe

icon=my icon.ico

Remember that you can use EXE files as icons as well and you can put "paths" to the file e.g. "myfolder\another folder\my icon.ico"

and save the file as "autorun.inf"

Hi, I have just been experimenting, I see what you mean now. Perhaps if you put in a CD then 'Explore' it you might get a clue to remind you how.

Cheers, sorry I can't help you further.

I already have an autorun.inf I assume that i just change the existing one

[autorun]
OPEN=SETUP.EXE

To show

[autorun]
OPEN=SETUP.EXE
icon=my icon.ico

Replacing "my icon.ico" with the icon name
