How to convert Excel files to ms works?

  scottyk 22:08 26 Sep 2007

I have lots of old excel files that I want to use but I have since upgraded and now have MS works. The excel files won't open on MS works, so I was wondering if anyone knows how to convert Excel files to MS works

Any advice would be great

I'm not sure what format MS Works uses, but would this site convert them for you? click here

Hi, Works does not open Excel files.
You can Google for an .xls viewer or use Open Office.

The only other thing I can think of is to use OpenOffice which is a free office suit which will handle Excel files.

open Excel files, but only a single sheet at a time, which is no good if the workbook has more than 1 page!...

You say you have a lot of Excel files... I think, if you don't want to pay for Excel, that OpenOffice is probably the best, assuming that by "use them" you mean you actualy want to edit/change them, rather than just "view" them, in which case the "Excel viewer", (a free download from Microsoft), would suffice.

Good luck,
