Is there any programe I can install to close down all running programes instead of hitting Crtl Alt & Delete every time I run Scan Disk and Defrag?

I have enditall on my 98SE computer, but I am about to encounter XP soon. Can Enditall 2 be used on Windows XP Home? I have not seen this verified anywhere.
May I say that to manage XP seems a lot more complicated than 98SE, but I haven't used it yet. No doubt i will get used to it!

Thanks for that leo49. I suspected, topcat, that the quote you show was written before XP came along- least, I'd hoped it was so- so I was aking in the hope that someone had used it in XP and it was OK.
One more question if I may please, leo49.
By default, when I use Enditall 1 in 98SE, it leaves only systray and explorer running- and itself of course,- Is that the same in Explorer?
I want only the bare systems to run when flight simming. Enditall2 knows what's safe to shut down, yes?

BTW I am still using old 'EnitAll' I UPGRADED from 98se to xp home and it still works fine.
