My mouse gets very dusty inside. As a result plays up and does not work well.

What fluid can i use to clean inside?
Maybe i should buy an optical mouse?

Take the ball out and wash it with soap and water. Dry it completely before puting it back in. The rollers can be cleaned using you finger nail or some suitable implement to gently scrape off the accumulated dirt. Blow the dirt out before inserting the ball again.

Yes, you should update to an optical mouse as you don't get these problems.

Disconnect the mouse from PC then remove the retainer plate and use a cotton-bud dipped in warm soapy water. Squeeze the end to remove excess fluid and leave moist only.

Have a good clean inside and round the rollers, use a wood/plastic cocktail stick to remove any stubborn crud/fluff, wash the rubber ball in the soapy water, dry and reassemble. Will now work like new.

You were only a minute behind me, so don't let it worry you too much. It took me more than a minute to type my reply.
