If you just want the text in your document and you are not worried about the layout just select the text using the "Select Text" button on the Tool Bar and wiping across the text you need with you mouse curson. Then copy and paste it into your Word/Excel document.
In pdf file - Right click / choose 'allow hand to select text' / highlight required text / Ctl c (to copy to clipboard) / open word document / Ctl v (to paste into doc. Formatting can then take up most of your time. Good luck (and it's free).
