On my Asus the Euro symbol is on 4 with the dollar sign.Alt Gr together with 4 gives €
Using T I M B O's answer you have to type the 0128 on the number pad to the right of the keyboard.
For Word -type 20AC then hold Alt and press XBut it is easier on my keyboard holding Alt Gr ands pressing 4. My keyboard has the € there.

Word help is surprisingly useful. Type in keyboard shortcuts for international characters.Keyboard shortcuts will bring up many, many more articles.
That's just using the Alt Gr key and running through all the keys, interesting.
My Medion keyboard turned up these with the AltGr key ¦ € ó í ú é á
