Having read the problems that I share with others over the automatic windows updates I see that a proposed solution is to delete WU KB951748.

Where would I find this to uninstall it?

In Control Panel\Add Remove Programs tick box to show windows updates, look for update click it the uninstall

To stop it being loaded again, Stop Auto Updates and do them manually using the shortcut in start. choose Custom install\other remove ticks from updates you do not want

If you have already downloaded it and your computer is working Ok there is no need to delete it.

Don't have any updates - bar one - listed in add/remove programs though remember some being ther ein the past.

How do I stop auto updates? The problem sems to lie in the 3 updates being applied when I shut down. If I could shut down auto updates then I would be happy to manually search for updates [as I used to do in the past]d
