I want to install some additional memory, but understand that it must be compatible with my motherboard ?
GO to click here and get it to scan your PC. This will tell you what memory you are using and what your pc can take.
here's one ive used for many years which gives you all the info you will need about your systemCPU Name and number. Core stepping and process. Package. Core voltage. Internal and external clocks, clock multiplier. Supported instructions sets. Cache information. Mainboard Vendor, model and revision. BIOS model and date. Chipset (northbridge and southbridge) and sensor. Graphic interface. Memory Frequency and timings. Module(s) specification using SPD (Serial Presence Detect) : vendor, serial number, timings table. System Windows and DirectX version. click here
A nice bit of software.
