How can i stop installation???

We have a room which students use and i was wondering is there any way we can stop the students installing programs or installing programs from the internet.
We are running windows 98se

Any help is appreciated
i will b back in the morning as i have finished work

No offence, it bumps the thread up! I don,t know of one, can we asume the students use it to access the net amongst other things? Once on there... You will have to review the programs in add/remove which will tell you when a program was last used, and remove any that have been added.

I don't quite understand the circumstances here. Can you not tell the students not to do these things (on pain of death, if necessary;-))

Or, move the computer to somewhere they can't access it.

Thats what we do currently.
we was wondering if there was anything else we can do like put a stop to any installation unless you put a password in or something along them lines
