How can an el6 file be converted to other formats?

  Nagpur 19:31 27 Jul 2010

I have a Canon Pixma MP550 Printer/Scanner. It includes software which enables me to assemble 2 or 4 or 20 or 48 or 80 pictures in jpg format onto one sheet of A4 and puts them into a file with “el6” suffix format. Fine so far. I can print this page onto paper but can’t do anything else with an el6 file. How do I convert an el6 file into a jpg or png or pdf file? Is any free software available which will enable me to do this? (My operating system is WindowsXP).

Will it open in any of your Photo Editing Software? if so you can re-save it as your format

Simply save it as a .jpg file.

It won't open with any Photo editing software I have and it won't open if I save it as a jpg file. Any other suggestions?
