Sorry for the delay I had to go and make tea!
So I have assembled the following system today:
8GB Corsair ram
DVD R (SATA 0)
Kingston 120GB SSD (SATA 1)
Seagate 1TB (SATA 2)
Following advice on the net I installed Windows on the SSD hard drive without the Seagate 1TB hard drive being connected.
Tested the system and all is going well, I'm impressed with the boot up speed : )
Shut down the system and added the Seagate hard drive to SATA 2, no being quite naive I expected to see the hard drive! But it's not there.
I've been in to disk management and BIOS and can't see it in either.
Hope you can please help... sorry!
while in BIOS check all sata ports enabled
if already enabled try connecting drive to another port.
Also check the power and SATA cable are inserted correctly.
I have tried both suggestions. In the BIOS SATA port is shown as not in use.
I'd put the sata 1TB in an enclosure. Boot up the PC then connect via USB. See if Windows will recognize it at all.
