Hi all,

This is one thing that is really buggin me, can you configure outlook express to load up a Hotmail/MSN acount? If so how?

In OE click TOOLS>ACCOUNTS. In the window click MAIL. Click ADD, then MAIL, then type in your name. In the next window just type in your Hotmail address and click ADD. That's it.

Another point. If you have multiple hotmail accounts you can check all of them in one go without having to sign in manually to each account one at a time.

do you not need to tell it to synchronise though so that it stores a copy locally on your PC?

NO it downloads all your folders to your PC and automatically synchronises every time you check your e-mails

Once you've set up OE for your hotmail, it's best to have your folder list open (View - Layout - tick folder list box). That's because hotmail has its own folders in OE (as Y2K_Phil says). Therefore you'll have two inboxes for example, one for your normal ISP mail and one for hotmail. You can click the relevant folder in the folder list to check your mail etc.

Also, when sending mail, in the FROM line of the new message window click on the downward pointing V at the right and from drop-down list you can choose which account to use to send your e-mail from.

Regards
