Hookey Office 2007 Removal

  milkybarkid 21:07 23 Sep 2009

I had a legal Off 2003 and a pal loaned me a Off 2007 disk and told me it had a spare licence. Turns out it is illegal. Is there any way of removing 2007 and reverting back to 2003?

Uninstall 2007 using click here

Follow these instructions ...

During the un-install process you may be asked if you want to re-start your computer, DO NOT re-start at this point, let Revo continue. You will eventually get the option to Select All and to Delete - DO SO. You will be given the same options a second time, again DO SO, do not be picky, just accept all that Revo chooses.
After clicking on Finish, re-start your computer.

If you can not get back to Office 2003, download and install this Free program instead, it is fully compatible with M'soft Office ...

Thanks Technotiger but I am concerned about my emails and settings in Outlook 07. I was using Out2003. Will everything restore upon removal. Open Off. has no mail prog but thanks anyway.

Hmm, in that case, do a System Restore back to before you installed 2007. Everything should then be back to normal.

Thanks again Technotiger. I didn't get the warning until ablou a month after 2007 was installed and Sys Restore doesn't go back that far. If I backup my 2007 pst files, remove 2007 and restore 2003, will I be able to import the files OK into 2003. Just don't want to lose all my contacts, appointments etc.

Make a new System Restore Point, that way everything will be backed-up. If you still have your legal 2003 software or licence, you can then uninstall 2007 as per my earlier 12:14 post - I don't think you will lose your personal email settings.
