bought a laptop in hk, and cant seem to remeber how to change the settings on the keyboard, ie change $ to pound sign and make other changes to make it feel like a uk spec keyboard. i had previously managed to do this but lost all settings when i system restored my c drive. i know there is a way but how!??

cheers

You can just hold down the Alt key and type 0163 on the numeric pad for a £

The changes for the keyboard layout depend on whether you va 98/ME or XP - but you may get other less desirable changes along with the £ change.

OK, goto control panel then regional and language options. Then goto languages and details. You can then change what type of keyboard it thinks your using. Hope this helps.
