Home network not recognising Laptop

XP Pro SP3
My laptop is wired to my home network, but after using the laptop outside the home, it is not recognised any more. I have tried running the home network setup, and although it completes normally, there is no connection made. Any help would be gratefully received.

I have made the changes you suggest, but still neither computer can be found by the other.

Did you make any changes to the laptop computer name, workgroup name or network name

I did check the names, and all the names are correct on each computer, even down to the case. After making any changes I have rebooted both machines, and although everything seems to be as it should, I cannot network the computers. Both computers are wired to the router, and both connect to the internet without a problem.

I'm still not able to get my network setup. Any more ideas folks?
