A relative has asked me to set the wireless encryption on his BT home hub. The problem is he has lost the documentation so does not know what the web address is of the home hub. Can anyone enlighten me?

Start-run/cmd-enter, type ipconfig at dos prompt, this will show the "default gateway" address (your router), type that in the address bar of your browser, this works for the majority of routers.

Thanks for all the information.

The Home Hub is actually a rebranded Speedtouch router and therefore the default gateway address is the same i.e. 192.168.1.254

The homehub comes with 64bit wep encryption as default.
When you set it up,use wpa or wpa2
