My son has managed to put a viris Win32 IEE or IEI (not sure) on my laptop. I have a hijackthis logfile. Where can I post it to get help?

You could post it at the Malware removal forum: click here

(You have to register first)

Or for a quick appraisal of your log, paste it into this site click here, it might give you some idea what's on your PC, but [impotantly] as beynac has advised, get expert help for the removal of any nasties.

fazza8's log check::))just found it in the archived section::))I guess this thread is resolved then?

I tried Hijckthis on the advice of an advisor for soling a problem I had. I ran it and it really messed up my PC. Good job I made a restore point and was able to get things working OK again.

I got rid of it

Chances are it wasn't used correctly then, ardlui. A novice can run HJT alright, but expert advice must be sought to interpret and act on the log file it produces.

may one ask through whom you got your 'advise' on the use of the log?

anyone can create a log on their comp but what they do WITH it is the more vital( and computer destroying ) point;

let us know your 'experience ' if you will?
