Hibernation problem

  FatboySlim71 08:34 29 Oct 2009

I have Windows Vista on my desktop PC.

I could normally hibernate with no problems, but recently I am having problems.

Sometimes when I hibernate it will hibernate and then power off the PC with no problem, when I press the power button on my PC it will load back up out of hibernation and I will be back where I was before I hibernated.

Now if I try to hibernate again, my PC shows the screen with my name on and underneath my name it says locked.

I was wondering if anyone could just suggest why my PC won't hibernate again for a second time after it has been hibernated?

Just to update I have since restored off a backup I took with Acronis True Image and the Hibernation is working fine again. Thanks for the help :)
