Hi Speed USB Port Controllers

Have a PB i'media running XP Home. Have had to get new printer (Epson Stylus Photo R300) awaiting new digital camera. However, on connection, I get "Hi Speed USB Port controller" not available. How, please, do I get one, or what do you suggest I do. (Am not good at DIY stuff on the PC's)

If you have never attached a USB device to your PC before, it's possible it is turned off in BIOS. This may be all that's wrong. Go into the BIOS and check it has been activated. This has happened to me in the past.

Tks Night Ryder - have got a scanner and the new Epson printer on USB ports. But will try the way you suggest. Hoping it won't mean getting yet another PC!! (I must be getting too old for all this lark!!).
