You will probably have to change the boot order in the BIOS to the CD drive, reboot the computer and keep tapping the Delete key till you get to the BIOS window then have a look in there in the various options for the boot order.

nope that didnt work unless im not doing it properly
export the msconfig tree to desktop as .reg file
then open msconfig?

Start - run - type
regedit
- press ok
navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig

In the right-pane, delete the value named Boot.ini (if found)

Close Registry Editor and open MSCONFIG.

How will you reinstall if you cannot get to boot from CD?

A repair is better than a reinstall (won't loose updates) when you can get into BIOS.

try f5 on boot see what menu you can get up?

It may have gone back to hidden system file. you need to check in Windows Explorer Tools\Folder Options\view
