Try renaming the following folderC:\windows\SoftwareDistribution/DataStoretoC:\windows\SoftwareDistribution/DataStore.oldRerun the update and it should start it over for you.If it doesn't work (and it should) you can always rename it back to the original.
iv done this and its worked many thanks,can i delete the old folder now which has the [old]tagged on it.
No great rush. It won't do you any harm. Check and see if a new folder has been created first.
