Help! virus problem that AVG won't solve

  princesplaff 00:33 15 Feb 2004

I have a virus with an .scr extension. AVG resident shield has notified me twice. It says it is in a folder called "system volume information". But when I run AVG it says i'm clean (I'm up to date btw).
When I try to open the folder, it says access is denied, so I can't manually delete it, and I guess that is why AVG cannot find it either.
Any ideas how I can get rid of it?

ps: I haven't opened the file, so my system isn't infected.

You need to delete SYSTEM RESTORE POINTS.

Turn it of to delete them. My computer, System Restore.

Worry about how the virus got past AVG to get into such a folder, and consider getting better protection. click here
