Help Upgrading my PC

  murgle 19:49 27 Aug 2007

I'm finding my PC is starting to struggle with some games (low frame rate) and applications and I'm wondering whether I should upgrade to a better processor, memory and graphics card. I can't really afford to buy a new PC so would appreciate any advice.

I purchased it from Multivision 4.5 years ago and at the time it was a powerful machine and I've never had any problems.

It’s a Vision Ionix 930 (PC Pro) System with:

AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 333 FSB CPU
MSI Nforce 2 Motherboard K7N2-L 4XUSB
1024MB PC2700 DDR RAM
128MB PC ATI Radion 9500 Grapics TV/DVI
AC97 Sound

Can anyone please recommend what I should upgrade to bring it up to date.

Thank you for your help

Kind regards

This PC is too old to upgrade.

The processor socket won't take a new CPU, the memory won't go in a new motherboard, and the graphics card is AGP, so you'll struggle to find a new card to fit in that board.

Get yourself a new PC, in the long run it will be cheaper, and you'll still be able to upgrade it in a coupe of years
