Help Ugrading from 98SE to Windows 2000

  BillMX 19:04 01 Jan 2004

I recently purchased Windows 2000 Pro Upgrade but when I insert the disk, am getting the following message. "The language of this installation of Windows differs from the one you are installing. The option to upgrade will not be available."

At this point, I click OK and the next message appears, "Set up cannot continue as upgrade funtionality is disabled and your copy of Windows 2000 only allows upgrades."

I am running an OEM version of 98SE on a refurbished PB Platinum which I purchased from QXL about 3 years ago.

Is it possible to re-enable upgrades, or will I not be able to use the upgrade disk at all???

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
