Help to set CPU FSB Frequency in BIOS

  Giggle n' Bits 01:22 19 Aug 2006

a setting in the BIOS for my Asus K8V-X SE M/Board gives me the option of "Config System Frequency Control" this has a option for "CPU FSB Frequency" by default its set at 200MHz !

My CPU is a AMD Athlon 64 3400 2.4GHz Socket 754

Can someone please tell me what I should set the FSB Frequnecy to in the BIOS as there is a massive long list starting from 200MHz.

You can try stepping it up one step at a time, and run it for a few (at least 3) hours. If it is set too high it will either /and become unstable and crash or become too hot, in which case it can damage your processor

The "CPU FSB Frequency" is set at 200MHz because that is the correct setting for your CPU.

Good jobbie I didn't follow Terry Brown's instructions then as I think he was talking about Overclocking.
