Help with RAM

hi am currently wanting to update my RAM currently have 2x128mb of DDR
as iam am new i don't know which type or speed RAM to buy can anyone help.
Also can you mix RAM or do i need to take out the two 128's if i want to put in a 512mb stick
any advice much appreciated

Thanks for the help i now know that the RAM i need is 184-pin DIMM DDR PC2700. Just one more thing though If i do put in a 512mb stick will i be able to leave in the two 128mb sticks making 768mb or can you not mix them.
My mother board is packard bell NOVA
operating system = XP
CPU = AMD athlon xp 2600
