I have 10GB a month limit with BT. My question is,I have a Bandwidth Meter that tells me I have used 10,218 MB's so far this month, How many MB's are there in a GB. Many thanks in advance.

Work on 1,000 Mb to a Gb (It`s actually 1024) which means you`re up against the limit.

1024x10=10240

As Taff said, you are on the limit.

I'm suprised that BT does not have a system, that notifies you when you are approaching your monthly limit.

With a 10 GB limit, you must be downloading some heavy downloads. (music or Video ?)

If you go over the limit will BT charge you extra, or do they 'throttle' the speed?

You must be on Option 1. Advisory messages should be sent to you by BT.
