Help please, with broadband web browser settings.

Both my laptop and desk top pcs use Windows XP home edition. I have just moved to btbroadband, and both pcs connect via a Belkin wireless ADSL modem / router. After I logged into the router I can connect to broadband no problem. But when I switch of my PCs at the end of a session it appears that the router drops the connection. My web browser will not then reconnect to the web, without logging into the router, and manually connecting again.
Can anyone help with Internet Explorer settings, so that the router will reconnect on demand. Belkin handbook doesn't mention this, and the XP wizard isn't very user friendly for broadband connections.

If anyone else has had this problem, I have resolved the issue by changing the diconnect after being idle for ?? minutes. The Belkin router default setting is to disconnect after five minutes idle time. However this can be set for a period exceeding three weeks. Since resetting, I have had no further problems, and my browser now connects on demand.
