Help with Open Office Calc (spreadsheet)

Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. I have a stock list on one sheet, I want to add the number ordered in a cell next to the item. Then on a second sheet I would like to retrieve the information of the parts ordered (from the first sheet), but only to retrieve the info for parts actually ordered. That is to say I don't want the whole parts list on the second sheet only the parts that have been ordered, so I can give a list to the customer of the parts he ordered. hope this makes sense.
