help needed

hi, my pc went down and i had to replace the hard drive, but for some reason the following have not been found.
video controller, etheinet controller, sm bus controller and also a pci device.
i can,t connect to the internet with the pc, or get any sound from the sound blaster card. i am running windows xp, the motherboard is a asus P5Q PRO. i have tried to download the missing drivers from the asus side from my laptop but the zip files will not write to my cd rom, unzipped or not. i have also reloaded windows countless times with know result.
help much needed, thanks, michael

I guess you are using a spare computer and I suppose you don't have the original cd with the motherboard drivers

The alternative is to download the drivers onto the desktop of the computer you are using and then try some different cds or dvds or another writing programme. A basic Nero programme or similar should do

Incidentally, if this doesn't solve the programme you may get a better response if you start a new thread with basic details of the problem in the heading such as "drivers needed for new hard drive"
