I decided that I wanted to get into pc gaming, so thought I would try building my own set up.
What I chose:
Case = Cooler Master N200 (Micro ATX)
Motherboard = MSI Z87M
Processor = i5-4690K
Memory = Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB
Storage = 256GB SSD and a 1TB HD
Video Card = MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB
Optical Drive = samsung dvd/cd writer
1st question... Is this a good choice?
2nd question... I don't know much about this. Will I need a cpu cooler or a radiator? Will the stock cpu cooler be ok ?
3rd question.. Anything i've missed?
Ideally I want this to be capable of playing most games out there without any problems.
Oh I wasn't sure on power supply either
should play most games my system lower spec than that runs Dragon Age inquisition GTA V etc quite happily.
To Answer couple of your questions Stock cooling is fine unless you plan to get a serious over clock out of it
Power supply would go with 750 watt myself
Someone told me to change the motherboard to the gigabyte z97mx gaming 5. Would this be advised?
if you can run to it yes Z97 would be more preferable to z87
