Hi! there,
Once again I require the assistance of you helpful computer specialists out there.
My P.C. sound system has been working faultlessly until tonight, when I decided to copy a DVD through Nero 7 applications.
On completion of the burning process, which appeared to function correctly, I placed the new DVD into my DVD ROM and attempted to play it with Window Media Player. Although I got the usual good picture, I could not get any sound.
I then realized that the original DVD would not play either. I have uninstalled my motherboard sound drivers, then re-installed them again, and although I get the usual sound on start up, and closing windows etc. I can get no sound from any discs. When I go into control panel, and attempt to go into the system sounds, I get the message that my MMDriver.INF file is missing from system 32.
Can anyone please tell me how to rectify this problem.

Find your XP install CD. Use MSConfig to expand mmdriver.in_ in the I386 folder on the CD to Windows\Inf. click here
