You are likely to get a better response if you give a more descriptive Title in the opening title box. "help me plz" conveys nothing re the nature of the question.

and is 'nco' the type?? ie photo1.nco

if so you could try changing the last three letters to .jpg - .gif .bmp to sdee if they open - try irfanview it handles a big range of picture formats click here

Look here:

This should help you sort out the files and convert back to their original format.

when i click on properties of the file it reads:
Type of file: NCO file... and i don't think that i can change the name of it... ie into JPG

Emy2000, check my response, it will take you to a website with all your answers.

It's just a file that's been compressed with Nero. This is what is says on filext.com:

If you right click the file and select "Open with Nero BackItUp Restore", you will get a conventional "Save as..." dialog box from which you can save the file uncompressed and with its normal extension in whichever location you choose.

So do that and you should be able to view it. :-D

sorry but i don't have the option of open with Nero backitup restore!!

  Jak_1 14:51 21 Aug 2006

Couple of questions:

1. Did you backup the original files using Nero?
2. Do you have the original files somewhere?
3. If the anser to the above two questions is no then do you a) know who did back them up and b)know if they still have the original files that you gould get a copy from?

they are photos send to me in an cd from Australia soo i have no way of getting the original files... and i have no idea if they used nero or not.. but they must have...
