help in finding a driver for 56K modem

  chiquita 19:18 04 Oct 2006

I have a gateway laptop model solo 2150 and after reformatting the hard drive find that the solo system disc containing the driver to the fitted modem is missing. Gateway UK can't help and I have not been able to trace one from everywhere I have tried. The modem is Action Tec and have had no joy from them either.
The system refuses to recognise an external modeem so I would be grateful for any help or suggestions.

You could try loading one of Windows own generic drivers as one of them might work. Failing that then try driversguide click here

All the figures seem to match so will give it a go. Due to local situation it will have to be tomorrow. Will let you know and thanks to the other gents.
