Help with detecting my motherboard...

  Seraphim 04:00 08 Apr 2006

My motherboard is ancient and I want to get some more RAM on it. Problem is, I don't what motherboard it is! The only I know about it is this:

W6318M7 V1.9

How do I detect what my motherboard is so I know how much and what kind of RAM it can take?

Why don't you google 'motherboard W6318M7', you will get lots of results, I don't understand why posters don't use google to find info, then do a forum search then post.

Not everyone understands search engines, also if he types that into search, he ends up at his own thread ;-) Most people rely on nice people like you for help and advice ;-). Keep up the good work.

Thank you one and all. I've discovered that my motherboard is an ancient MSI MS-6318. Using that knowledge I've managed to upgrade my RAM from 384 to 768Mb. It's much quicker now.

Cheers everyone.
