help with connecting D-link wireless

have wireless access point G700AP plugged into NTL cable modem , vista seems not to reconise plug in wireless where do i go from here? thanks

What connection are you using from modem to computer, USB or Ethernet.

If you are using a USB connection to connect between modem or router to computer then you need to install the software drivers from the CD disk provided. If you use the Ethernet cable then it will connect without software.

i have done that and the only option for download is the acrobat reader and that just a read file? there is no other option to download. I though vista would have a plug and play mode for this model

Check here and see if this is like your set up, if it is what is your connection between router and G700AP.

Your G700AP needs to be linked to a wired router, if it is plugged directly into your modem this will not work. Check again set up click here
