Hi,

My computer knowledge is "middle of the road" at best so I need help with compatability, overkill and comparison of specifications. The RAM is doubled because I want 32GB to have max potential for the motherboard and since I play Dwarf Fortress I believe I need a hell of a lot of RAM or so my friend said. I'm also wanting to record the higher spec games like star citizen on it's beta release. Here is the list I have at present:

More to the point. Will this be a good PC? and, will it work?

This - and other posts elsewhere - tells me you have about a million times more PC there than you need to play Dwarf Fortress. So, yes, I'd venture to suggest that that spec is overkill, to put it mildly. I suggest you look in the same places I did to find out more. Of course, if you want almost the best gaming PC money can buy, then go for it... :-)

If anyone has any good builds, that work well, in the range of £1,800 - £2,200 and can offer them up I'd be grateful.

Yes Ian I understand playing it isn't the problem it's the world generation that is taxing and I'd like to have a complete world on it :') Just OCD really. :')
