  SebBux 15:16 18 Nov 2007

I'm buying my daughter a laptop for Xmas,

I have 3 selections here, and i would be grateful if
someone could give me their advice to which one
would be best to buy.

Of those three, I guess the ACER ASPIRE 5315 (your third link) is the best.

Having said that and reading the specs again, I'm not sure if the ACER ASPIRE 5315 includes a DVD rewriter. If it doesn't, then the HP 530 with the option to upgrade the memory for £20 looks like the better deal.

The Acer Aspire 5315 is available for £299 from click here
and has a DVD rewriter.

After dealing with HP, I would buy the HP. I just got mine but it's got XP on it. I did not want Vista

If you go for the Acer, I hope you do not have problems with it, as they are not good on service

I agree with woodchip, when it comes to support, don't expect any help from Acer.

Check out the ebuyer site. They always seems to have unbeatable prices for anything, anywhere. (click here) or this one if that link doesn't work.
