Help in buying a PC

  CBF1 08:34 04 Nov 2005

I have £550 to spend to buy a computer can someone advise me on what is a good value system for that kind of money. The price is to include a 17/19" TFT monitor.

Decide what you want it to do then post back

Start by looking at Advent in PCWorld

Then consider adverts by mail order Evesham and Dell

Your uses for it - does this include video editing or heavyweight games?

If it does not, then you will have to weigh the basic features and price against almost twice the money to pay for 19" v. 17" TFT monitors.

I intend to spend no more than £550 on a PC which will be used for home and office use. Any one able to suggest a good buy.
