Just installed a abit kv8 pro motherboard with a AMD sempron processor new memory and new hard drive.
when i turn it on the fans come on followed by 4 beeps then it shuts down.
the power is 350 watts its a new case.
need help

one option for 4 beeps was 'bad video..'.

This would be consistent with the fact that a new board can have a very very stiff AGP slot. I have found it very hard to get a AGP card into a new board's AGP slot on more than one occasion, it looks like it is in, but is not.

AGP cards have two rows of electrical contacts, one above the other, so if the GFX card does not go in all the way, the contacts to not make contact correctly.

In theory, the copper/gold coloured contacts on the GFX card should completely disappear from sight into the socket on the board when the card is fully pushed home. All you should see is the circuit tracks leading to the contacts, and these tend to be 'varnished over' with green varnish.
