Ive just bought a new stereo headset, to re-place my old USB one, but Ive got a problem.
When I try and use Ventrilo, I can't find my headset from the dropdown list, I can hear when people talk, just not speak.
Im using onboard soundcard from my Asus A8N-SLI Motherboard.

Any help as to why people can't hear me on Vent ( or anything using a mic ) would be great.

hi sidetrax ....
have you checked the sound properties to make sure mic is enabled (not muted)Dave.

How would I do that?

This headset has two input jacks, one for the mic, and one for the audio.
Its not just in Ventrilo that my computer cant find it, its in everything that needs a mic.

Not sure from your last post whether or not you have checked sound props. if not;

-Double click the volume icon in your system tray
-Options
-Properties
-From the 'show the following volume controls', make sure that there is a tick in the microphone box
-Now under the 'microphone' heading make sure that the 'mute' box is unticked.
-Options
-Exit

I hope this will enable the use of your HPs.
