Headers in Office 2007

Running Win XP pro and Office 2007. Is there a way to set up headers in a document, so that the header only appears on the first page of the document?
I have found an instruction to make the first page different, that omits the header from page 1, but puts it on the subsequent pages.
There is also the option of different odd and even pages.
Looking for some guidance please.

This is so much fiddlier than it was in earlier versions.

Anyway, the trick is at the bottom of P1 Page Layout > Breaks > Section Breaks > New Page.

On Page 1 insert a header. When you've done this the Design tab should appear on the right of the header. You can then click Next Section and delete the header from the second page.
