I have a Toshiba Satellite L645D with a 500 GB hard drive. When I boot up it ask for the windows password which I have. The it ask for the HDD/SSD password, which I don't have. Toshiba says no way to get, is there a way to format this hard drive and start fresh ????

Looks like something in the BIOS has been changed? Have you been to the bios and set up a password? Did you burn the Disks or USB drive "back to factory settings" media? At least then you know you are safe when trying some repair, although you lose all data, you'll still have a working machine.
