Hi all, Anyone know of a free program that can play HD-DVD Films, or maybe know of somewhere that sells used players cheaply

many thanks

Russell.

No. You need to buy a HD DVD drive. A regular DVD drive can't physically read a HD-DVD disk. I don't know if any are available but I will search for and let you know.

I will amend my previous thread - it appears that there is available to buy a HD-DVD ROM drive but you need to look at this guide to check the requirements of your PC. There is a link (within this link) to the Cyberlink HD/BD Advisor to enable you to do this enter link description here

I have a pretty decent computer with twin Blu-Ray players and writers and Power DVD 10, but they won`t play those HD-DVD disks, it was just a thought which I will now forget.

Many thanks for your help, I would tick as resolved but can`t where to put the tick.

Just a thought - If you can connect an X-Box 360 it should do it.
