Hayes External Serial Modem

Does anyone use a Hayes Accura V.92 External Serial Fax Modem Model H08-15328?

If so can they tell me if they are pleased with it and what operating systems have they actually used it with.
I would like to use it with Linux, W98 and XP (SP2?)

I used it (not sure of the exact model, but the picture looks right click here ) on Win 98SE without problems. My sister is still using it at the moment on Win 98SE on her PC, again no problems. I don't see that you would have any problems using it on XP, not sure about Linux though.

If any modem responds correctly to "Hayes AT Commands" it should be their own models, because they invented the system! There shouldn't be a problem using a Hayes modem even with a Windows' Generic V.90 modem driver. Linux should run it OK as well.

How now bought a Hayes Accura V.92 External Serial Fax Modem Model H08-15328 and can confirm that it works with W98SE and with Linux without any problems.

Have noticed however that even with a V92 ISP it still only connects at V90.

Thanks for your help.
